Pioneer Cemetery Commission
The Marion County Board of Supervisors enacted Ordinance 2011-17 to establish and authorize the Marion County Pioneer Cemetery Commission.
The Commission's mandate is to locate, rehabilitate, and maintain Pioneer Cemeteries located within the county. A Pioneer Cemetery is one that is no longer considered Active, and in some cases no longer has a controlling authority or has not had funds to maintain the cemetery.
