The Auditor's office is responsible for conducting elections by administering federal, state, and local elections and voter registration administration, accepting nomination papers, ballot printing, public testing of voting machines, precinct election official training, organizing polling places, and absentee ballot processing.

In addition to elections, auditor responsibilities include acting as secretary to the Board of Supervisors, preparing Board agendas and minutes, maintaining all official records and actions of the Board, publishing the required legal notices, keeping track of real estate ownership and property tax records, computing real estate taxes, processing beer, liquor, and cigarette permits and also performing accounting services such as accounts payable and payroll.  The Auditor's office is responsible for budgets and financial reports on behalf of the Supervisors. They also assist the state auditor's office during our county audit by preparing annual workpapers, schedules, and journal entries.
