KEY DATES:

  • 2025 Knoxville School Special - Candidate Filing Period:
  • Filing period ends on Friday, February 7, 2025
  • Filing Offices Open until 5:00 p.m. on 2/7/25
  • School Candidates – School Secretaries are filing officer
  • First day Auditor can receive Absentee Ballot Requests:
    • Tuesday December 24, 2024
  • First day to Absentee Vote at Marion County Auditor's Office 214 E Main St Knoxville, IA
    • Wednesday, February 12, 2025 (if ballots are available)
    • Office Hours: M-F - 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
    • Please note ID required to participate.
  • First day the Auditor's Office can mail absentee ballots to voters who have submitted requests.
    • Wednesday, February 12, 2025 (if ballots are available)
  • Voter Pre-Registration Deadline   
    • Tuesday, February 18, 2025
    • Office Hours February 18, 2025 - 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
  • Deadline to request a mailed Absentee Ballot.

    • Office Hours February 18, 2025 - 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
  • Last day to vote Absentee Ballot at the Marion County Auditor's Office, 214 E Main, Knoxville IA.
    • Monday, March 3, 2025
    • Office Hours Monday, March 3, 2025 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • All Absentee Ballots, whether returning in person or by mail must be received in the Marion County Auditor’s Office by 8:00 p.m. on 3/4/2025
  • Election Day - Tuesday, March 4, 2025
    • Polling Hours 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. (ID required to participate)
    • Absentee Ballot return – In Person - deadline 3/4/2025, 8:00 p.m. at the Marion County Auditor's Office, 214 E Main, Knoxville Iowa.
