2024 General Election – Absentee Voting

The General Election in Marion County will take place on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.  All regular Countywide polling sites (17) will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

TODAY (August 27, 2024) is the first day the County Auditor can receive Absentee Ballot Request Forms.  Registered voters may request an absentee ballot to be sent to them by mail.  To download an absentee ballot request form use the following link absentee ballot request form.  You must complete and return the original, signed form to our office at, Marion County Auditor, 214 E Main St, Knoxville IA 50138, by Monday October 21st at 5:00 p.m.

The first day the Auditor may mail Absentee ballots is Wednesday, October 16.  This is the same day voters may begin voting in person at the Auditor’s office.  Please note, ID is required to participate.  In person Absentee Ballot voting will continue until Monday, November 4, 2024 at 4:30 p.m.

If you have an absentee ballot mailed to you, whether returning in person or by mail it must be received in the Marion County Auditor’s Office by 8:00 p.m. on 11/5/2024.
