Mobile Crisis Services

Community Health Centers of Southern Iowa’s Access Center provides a variety of services to individuals in the CROSS Region, including Marion County.

One of those services included Mobile Crisis. Mobile Crisis is an on-site intervention provided by qualified crisis response staff for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. Trained staff can meet a person where they are at. Whether that be at an individual’s home or a different location in the community.  The purpose is to help reduce the level of risk present in a crisis, identify needs, develop action plans, coordinate referrals with other mental health resources and follow up until appointments with individuals preferred provider take place. Mobile crisis provides an alternative admission to hospitals or correctional facilities.

Who can utilize Mobile Crisis? Anyone at any time can utilize Mobile Crisis. To obtain services, please call the Access Center at (641)342-1742 and request Mobile Crisis.
