Marion County Development (MCDC) exists to identify and plan strategies which will grow Marion County’s economy. The department’s mission is to enhance prosperity in Marion County, Iowa through strategic planning, promotion, cooperation and development of the Red Rock Area as a premier destination for business, travel and living. Staff is directed by a 9-person commission of citizens.
