The Commission of Veterans Affairs provides assistance to Marion County veterans who were discharged under Honorable Conditions. Veterans need to have served 90 consecutive days of active Federal service. The Marion County Veterans Affairs office is staffed by one of the 99 Veterans Service Officers throughout the state dedicated to assisting veterans with federal and state benefits earned by veterans while serving on active duty.

  • Veterans Life Insurance
  • Veterans Health Administration (VHA) health care
  • Veterans Benefits Adminstration (VBA) disability benefits

After researching www.va.gov, let us guide and submit your application for any of these programs.

  •  Food and provisions
  •  Medical and dental assistance
  •  Prescription medication
  •  Transportation
  •  Burial assistance

Vietnam War 50th Commemoration "A Time To Honor"

Free Vietnam War 50th Commemoration "A Time To Honor" books are now available to pick up.

If you are a Vietnam veteran who served in Vietnam, bring a copy of your DD214 to my office to receive your book.  My office is located in the Courthouse, 1st floor by the drinking fountain. There are a limited number of books that I have received so this will be a first-come, first-served basis.
